Every other car in our fleet is booked because someone needs to get around. The Alphard is booked because the arrival itself matters.
It is our flagship at RM800/day, dropping to RM650/day when you keep it three days or more. That is a deliberate choice rather than a default, so this page is about when it is genuinely worth it — and when one of our seven-seaters at a third of the price will serve you better.
The Toyota Alphard and its sibling the Vellfire are large luxury MPVs — 4.95 m long, seven seats, automatic. The point of them is the second row: proper reclining captain's chairs with real legroom, reached through sliding doors rather than by climbing past a folded seat.
That one design decision is what makes it suitable for the occasions below. Nobody has to clamber.
| Toyota Alphard / Vellfire | Perodua Alza | |
|---|---|---|
| Per day | RM800 | RM210 |
| 3 days or more | RM650/day | 3-day deal RM540 |
| Length | 4.95 m | 4.43 m |
| Seats | 7 | 7 |
| Deposit | RM300 | RM200 |
This applies to every seven-seater ever built and the Alphard is no exception. The third row sits exactly where the boot would be. With all seven seats upright, the space behind the last row takes daypacks, handbags and shopping — not seven check-in suitcases.
Fold the third row down and the load space becomes enormous. But then you have a very comfortable five-seater, which for many of the occasions below is precisely what people actually want.
So work it out before you book:
If you are unsure, message us with your passenger count and the number of bags, and we will tell you honestly whether it works. Our 7-seater guide goes through the same maths for the Alza and Aruz.
Planning something specific? Tell us the date and how many people — we'll confirm whether the Alphard is free and whether it actually suits.
Check Alphard availability
The most common reason. A visiting director, an investor, a client flying in for a meeting, or a senior family member arriving from overseas. You drive to KCH, collect them, and the first ten minutes of their trip are comfortable and quiet rather than cramped.
Because our airport pickup and return are free and available 24 hours, you can take the Alphard at arrivals yourself for a same-day collection, or keep it for the length of their visit. The airport guide covers how the handover works.
The Alphard is a common wedding car in Malaysia, and the reason is practical rather than showy — sliding doors and a low step mean a bride in full dress can get in and out without a fight. If your family is driving on the day, this is a car that handles that job well.
Note again: you or someone in your party drives. We rent the vehicle; we do not supply a driver for the day.
The quiet, unglamorous reason we like this car. If someone in your group uses a walking stick, has a bad knee, or simply should not be folding themselves into a third row, the Alphard solves that. Sliding doors, a low floor, and a seat that reclines.
We also provide wheelchairs at RM25/day and strollers at RM15/day, and baby seats are free — mention what you need when you book so we bring the right thing.
On a run out to Damai and Santubong, an hour each way with the aircon working hard, the difference between the Alphard and a smaller MPV is real. At RM650/day over three days it is a considered choice for a family that wants the trip itself to be comfortable.
For anything specific to this vehicle that is not listed here — questions about insurance detail, or any condition attached to a particular booking — please ask us before you commit and we will confirm it directly rather than have you infer it from a page.
Two honest notes if you have never driven one. It is 4.95 m long, half a metre longer than an Alza and over a metre longer than an Axia. Older streets in the Kuching city centre and the lanes near the markets have tight parking bays, and you will notice the length.
Second, it is tall. Watch your clearance in older covered car parks. On the open road out to Damai, Bako or Semenggoh none of this matters at all — it is on narrow city streets that the size registers.
If your trip is mostly city centre and the occasion element does not apply, a Bezza or Myvi will be a less stressful car to live with.
We have a limited number of vehicles and the Alphard is a single flagship car rather than a category. It gets requested for specific dates — weddings and holiday periods in particular — so the earlier you ask, the better.
